DIRECTIONS

Trika Eco Villa is located in Chiang Mai, 20 minutes south of historic old town. Hidden in the local village of Nam Phrae, the villa is a luxurious sanctuary surrounded by local fruit orchards. A breathtaking villa, tranquil and secluded, yet close to the best Chiang Mai has to offer.

Getting Here:
Getting to Chiang Mai is very easy. From Bangkok, you have a plethora of choices via bus, train and plane. Buses and planes leave multiple times a day and cover a range of prices.

Getting Around:
Having your own transportation to explore Chiang Mai is wonderful but not necessary. Parking spaces are available on the premises. Local rides are also easily available for all of your shopping and sightseeing needs. Trika Eco Villa has a car service (a local Song Tao or “red truck”), which can hold up to 12 people with luggage. The driver will pick you up and take you anywhere you want to go. Prices range from 500 – 1000 baht round trip. A 3-hour minimum advance booking is usually required. Bicycle rentals are also available if you would like to explore the local sights. Price for bicycles are 150 baht per day and advanced booking is required. Please ask for assistance!

From Chiang Mai

Getting to us from Phu Ruea bus stop

The town of Phu Ruea is 14 km Northeast of our center. Buses will drop you at the central town market, off of Highway 203. The town market is a safe place to stop and has a lively market that opens early. Please email or call us to arrange for a taxi pickup from Phu Ruea at least 24 hours in advance. When you get off the bus, look out for someone holding a sign saying “Trika Eco Resort”. Travel time: 10 - 15 minutes Cost: 300 baht if arriving between 6:00 am and midnight. 500 baht if arriving outside of these normal business hours. Payment can be given directly to the taxi driver in Thai Baht cash only.

From Bangkok

Buses depart from Bangkok to Phu Ruea several times a day. They go from Mo Chit bus station near Chatuchak Park in Bangkok. Departs from: the Northern Bus Terminal – Mo Chit Bus station T: +66 (0) 25378055. Bus company: Phet Prasert Tour bus company Times: 4 services per day go from Gate 130 – 8:15 am, 12 noon, 9 pm, 10pm. See timetable here http://www.phetprasert.com Travel time: 7/­8 hours Why choose this company? Phu Ruea is the last stop so you can’t miss it. The bus makes few stops, there’s aircon and reclining seats. Booking your ticket: You may be able to call the bus company the the day before to hold your seat, and then come to the ticket office at least 1 hour before the bus leaves to buy your ticket. Or you can book ahead in person. Go to the lower floor of MoChit bus terminal and find ticket booth number 41 and 42. Contact center: 056 720 720

Getting to Bangkok’s Mo Chit bus station

By BTS / MRT Get off at the BTS / MRT stop MoChit. From there you’ll need to take a short taxi ride to the bus terminal Taxi from the airport: Bangkok has two airports. Don Mueng is near Mor Chit bus station both are on the north side of the city. Suvarnabhumi is South East of the city centre – so you’ll have to cut across the city to get to the bus station. Please keep in mind Bangkok’s rush hour when planning your ride. Rush hour often extends from 7am to 10am and 3:30pm until about 7:30pm.

Nok Air www.nokair.com and Air Asia www.airasia.com run regular non-­stop flights from Bangkok (Don Muang Airport) to Loei city multiple times a day. Travel time: about 1 hour 5 minutes Optional airport pick up to Trika Eco Resort from Loei Airport: Please email us your flight details a minimum of 24 hours before your arrival and we will book you a taxi from Loei airport directly to Trika Eco Resort. When you’re leaving the arrivals hall, look out for someone holding a sign saying Trika Eco Resort. Travel time: about 1 hour.
Private vans are reliable and comfortable, and they can hold 8­-11 people, depending on luggage.  Hiring a van is perfect if you’re coming as a group. You must call and book your van in advance. Here you will find driving directions to Trika Eco Resort from Bangkok. Traffic out of Bangkok tends to be worse on weekends – from Friday lunchtime onwards. So if you are driving, you are better to avoid these peak times. Head north on Highway 1 towards Saraburi. Once past Saraburi, continue north onto Highway 21 towards Phetchabun and Lom Sak. Go through Petchabun or take the bypass. Continue toward Lom Sak. From Lom Sak take Highway 203 north towards Dan Sai/Phu Ruea. Off of Highway 203 between Dan Sai and Phu Ruea turn right onto Pla Ba Road (ARD.LY.4054), 7 kilometers before the village of Phu Reua. On your right, at the corner of Highway 203 and Pla Ba road you will see a blue sign pointing you toward Trika Eco Resort . The corner can be recognized by Wat Pho Sawang, a row of country shops, a pink restaurant and two other blue signs pointing you toward Pla Ba road and the local waterfalls. Go down Pla Ba road 3.5 kilometers and turn right onto the dirt road with the Adi­Yoga sign on the corner. Continue down the dirt road 1 kilometer until you reach Trika Eco Resort on the left. Travel time: Anywhere from 6 to 8 hours depending on traffic, speed, stops, etc.
